Trane Technologies Acquires Cancoil to Boost Supply Chain
Trane Technologies is buying Ontario-based Cancoil Thermal Corporation to strengthen its heat-transfer manufacturing capabilities and supply chain resilience.
Trane Technologies (NYSE: TT) announced Monday it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cancoil Thermal Corporation, a North American heat-transfer products manufacturer headquartered in Ontario, Canada, in a move designed to deepen the Ireland-based climate innovator's supply chain resilience and thermal management expertise.
Founded in 1983 by Chander and Anju Datta, Cancoil has built a four-decade reputation for engineering precision and customer-tailored design in the heat-transfer sector. The company's ability to manufacture bespoke thermal products made it a strategically attractive target for Trane, which has been working to vertically integrate key components of its HVAC and climate solutions supply chain.

The acquisition reflects a broader industry trend among major climate-technology firms seeking tighter control over critical components amid persistent global supply chain pressures. By bringing Cancoil's manufacturing capabilities in-house, Trane Technologies positions itself to reduce third-party dependencies and respond faster to custom client demands across North American markets.
Trane Technologies, listed on the NYSE and headquartered in Swords, Ireland, describes itself as a global climate innovator with operations spanning commercial and residential HVAC systems. Adding a specialized coil manufacturer of Cancoil's caliber gives the company a direct production lever for one of the most technically sensitive components in heating and cooling systems.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in the announcement. Continue reading at BusinessWire.
